The new house has a fairy steep long gravel drive. I doubt the Corvette will make it up, it’s just too light. I’ve seen some pretty damn steep drives done in both asphalt and in concrete. I’ve also seen some really steep township road in chip and seal. All 3 seem to hold up well. Anyone have experience in steep drives?

You looking to concrete or asphalt the entire thing? If so, I would personally be concerned about how shiny/slick fresh seal coat can be. With concrete you can always do a rougher brush finish to give a little texture.

If looking at recycled materials I would say the recycled asphalt as it will pack better and "hopefully" not wash out as bad.

I’ve been using asphalt grindings since we’ve move here. A little cheaper than stone, and if compacted (rolled) when laid it’ll stand up better than loose gravel. It’ll still wash out just not as easy. Make sure your drainage is up to speed as that’ll save you a lot of time, aggravation and $$$$
Our driveway is close to 3/4 mile long. With a half mile just for our exit/entrance.
