100% Mike. They may not have taken to it like you did, but you raised two good kids. I'd like to think that the little they dabbled into your hobbies, definitely played a role in that.Just remember that not all of our kids will enjoy all of our endeavors. I have two boys that never really took to the outdoors and it wasn't because I didn't try from an early age. And that's ok.
My son and daughter love fishing with me, run dogs and scouting for deer. My son enjoyed rabbit hunting but other than the socializing that comes with gun hunting for deer he could take it or leave it...Just remember that not all of our kids will enjoy all of our endeavors. I have two boys that never really took to the outdoors and it wasn't because I didn't try from an early age. And that's ok.
Anyone that has ever hunted north of rt2 was right next to Jim in that story. LolAwesome! We used to hunt the mallard club back in the day before Maumee bay state park was built so I can relate to the cattails lol. Early 80's with a Bear grizzly 50# recurve. Never killed shit back then but it was some of the best times of my life. That story brought back some good memories. Thanks!
Don't forget balancing girlfriends in there as well.Another successful episode!
My struggle with kids and the outdoors was trying to balance sports with finding time between work and woods. I’m just now getting the most of the outdoors experience with my kids, it’s definitely a tough sell to kids of today!
