I for one enjoy todays country music and this Shooter guy....well he looks like a total white trash and sounds even worse. No wonder I have never heard of him.

If you dont like the following songs, you're not right in the head and have little man syndrome rotflmao

Dierks Bentley-I hold on....great song
Gary Allen- Every storm runs out of rain..great song
Justin Moore-Till My last day...great song
Easton corbin- Someday when I'm old another great song

Its Waylon's son medic. No wonder why you've never heard of him, you don't listen to the real stuff.

He'd probably say old Medic was a yuppie for driving a 2x4 truck too! lmao. Don't surprise me he likes the new shit. Probably wears fancy jeans with bedazzled ass pockets too. lmao

If you've never heard of Shooter then you aren't a fan of real country. I'm not saying you gotta like him, but for goodness sake, he's Waylon's son! Who cares what he looks like? Didn't know real music was about a fashion show. Listen to 4th of July, Steady at the Wheel, Deed and the Dollar, Outlaw You, Sweet Savannah, Long Road Ahead, Low Road, or the Gunslinger. I agree, he's not the best singer, but he keeps it real... and writes his own stuff!!!

If we based music on looks, I doubt some bands who made it big before the music video era would've done as well. It's about the music man.

Come on Mike, as long as you look the part, you are the part. Even if you're a poser, you da man if you got the right trim package.

Exactly, it's all about the looks. Listen to this old from Church and he will tell you that. the video has the lyrics. They fit right in with this topic.

As I said before in another thread, the hair band era was kickass, but it became watered down at the end of the era and ended up killing it. The country music we are hearing today may end up doing the same. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of songs out by newer artists that I enjoy, but if you listen to the Highway on Sirius, it's really all starting to sound the same.

I'll crack up Nightrain by Jason Aldean as quick as I'll crank up Mama Tried by Merle, but much of the newer stuff is sounding repetitive.

Joe you have just turned this into one of my all time favorite threads!!!!!

Hey man. There's three things I feel strongly about. My south. My country music. And my vast assortment of inflatable animal dolls.

Prolly should have stopped at two huh.

Billy Currington found out what Joe thinks about his music, didn't he Joe?!? Rotflmao

I totally agree with Mike. I love to listen to the big hair rock and other 80&90's rock, southern rock and country but I also love to listen to the classic country music TOO!

Waylon,Willie,Merle,JC,Hanks Sr. and Jr.Johnny Paycheck,DAC,Da Possum,Johnny Lee,John Anderson and Roger Miller to name a few! Two of my all time faves are ETC....Earl Thomas Conley and John Conley. Along with Keith Whitley, them three lay it down smooth!

A song I remember from the group Shenandoah titled, Sunday in the South was a song I always liked because even though it pertained to the south it stirred up my memories of country living as a youth. Alabama is and will always be my favorite country group because of the same reason. The majority if not all of their songs can be related by country folk like me/us.

For you old school country guys. This kids from here. I was at a party few years back and this kid dropped some songs, had no idea who he was. Next thing I knew 2 years later he's opening for David Allan Coe in tours around Ohio.

He graduated from high school early to pursue a record label in Tennessee but he still comes up to Ohio to play at smaller places.
