I hope the pilot is OK, both after the ejection and after the inquisition. This thing may have had a factory-installed auto-land option. It wouldn't be the first time an empty aircraft landed safely. I can only imagine how difficult it might be to explain conducting two takeoffs without conducting at least one landing.
On the darker side, with all the evolving technological wonders these days, I wouldn't put it past some bad actors attempting to gain control of the aircraft.

I remember once under Obama we had this super secret stealth drone that we flew over Iran. The Iranians hacked the go-home feature and jammed the flight control signal. The drone did exactly what it was supposed to do, went home and landed. Except its new home was an Iranian airfield.
