I haven't been chasing them, but have seen good numbers in the woods here. Haven't noticed any affect on the population due to the drought.

I had a big flock come in on me a week before season. I have a tag in my deer-hunting bag. If one happens to come in while on stand I plan to whack it, but otherwise, I won't chase after em exclusively.
