"Look at me! I'm a potential shooter..."

Um... I'm not thinking he's gonna be of age. Thoughts?

Here he is after 6 more days of growth. Not a great view, but I'm still not impressed...

His body still looks young. Doesn't seem to have a barrel shape to him, and the nose is looking long & slender.

I don't know. Hard to tell this time of the year. Seems like some of the big boys we have hanging around are looking pretty scrawny right now too. Let's see him in July/August and decide.

Good enough for me to shoot! Or good enough to get shot after someone wakes up in a treestand

(sorry, I had to. how long has it been? can we joke about that now?)

I've come to grips with my mistake, so it's humorous now. I did something I hope I never do again and it only reinforced that I'm alright with only killing a mature buck every few years if it means I don't have to feel that feeling again. So laugh on buddy!

Nice pics Jesse. I am gonna get out this weekend and get my camera going. Kate went for a jog this evening and saw several bucks out feeding in the fields. Looks like it might be time to break the video cam out and do some evening scouting.

I don't think he's gonna ammount to much. Looks like he'll be a 100-110 inch buck. The couple good ones I've seen so far are at the, or close to the turning point.

I see what you're saying JD but most if not all your bucks lost their sheds much earlier than these southern bucks and aren't probably as far along as yours. Just sayin' IMO but you've got some friggin' monsters up there and we're prolly comparing apples to watermelons here in this instance. This particular deer has some nice bases but prolly at best he'll turn into a high teens 8, but you never know! AGAIN IMO...lol

.............but I do believe your deer had a year or two on this feller. It would be my guess that he's 2.5 at best. IMO
