Favorite High-End Bourbon or Scotch

I'm a beer brewer, judge, and drinker. I brew my own, seldom buy any. I was once the process manager for Sam Adams Brewery in Cincy. I also once owned a beer, wine, and tea homebrew store (Table Top Brewing). I would brew about twice a month, now I'm down to once a month. I might start a Microbrewery. I've have a building and slowly purchasing vessels. Maybe next year. Looking at a 3 barrel system. The brewery will be in Miamitown, Ohio.
Currently On Tap: Biere de Garde (French Belgian) and an amber ale.
Cheers!!!

Jim, what did you end up taking on the trip?

I had some of this on Thanksgiving. Pretty good drink.

Ha! That's exactly what I bought, Sean! I picked up a bottle of the Bulleit regular and a bottle of the Bulleit 10-year. Not sure I'd really call it "high-end," as it's VERY affordable, but man it is some damn good bourbon. One of my new favorites actually. I also took a bottle of Wild Turkey Rare Breed. It was okay, but I likely won't buy it again. Pricey and I just didn't really care for the taste.

Nice!! Yeah, it's high end enough for me and definitely one that I'd gladly buy again once the bottle is empty. Glad to see we both have excellent taste. Haha!!

I will say this, though. After having both the regular and the 10-year, I think I'll stick to the regular. The difference in taste/smoothness isn't significant enough to warrant the extra 15-20 bucks in price.
