Fawn killc

Are they turkey vultures or those black headed demon birds? We have been invaded by the other vultures down here and they are ferocious predators. They kill deer, calves, whatever they want... bad hombres.

Well i didn't get close enough to notice i was on tractor and they took off - had some red heads in the back yard yday

We have the black headed vultures down here, when ever we walk the dogs I always carry my daily carry. Those things just sit on the power lines and eye ball the dogs walking by. We’ll get em around the house and I persuade them not too. So far no issues with them fuggers.

There protected in Ohio

Hell yes - stock growers in Ohio can get a permit to wack a couple and put them on display to run the flock off - what the flock
Before we moved in, the neighbors had issues. He contacted the NC wildlife officer for our county. That was his unofficial recommendation...

I have heard rumors that if you shoot one and leave the body, his buddies avoid the area. It will be illegal for me to have first hand knowledge of course but I will tell you this... those birds are smart. And they will kill cattle and deer. They start the process by plucking their eyes out. Not a myth or legend, they are predators and do not just scavenge as turkey vultures do.

They will also tear the heck out of a boat cover, windshield wiper blades, anything you leave sitting parked at the local lakes down here will be destroyed in short order. And yeah, they are federally protected. Rocky Fork received permits for a dozen or so... that ain’t enough to clear one dumpster of em. There is a single tree at the paint creek dam that has 100 of em roosted in it every night.

They destroyed a bunch of stuff around the neighbors house and were roosting on our house and theirs. They dealt with the issue before our house was listed.
They’re still around and sneak over every once in a while. Not for long though.... It’s Erie how they watch you as you walk by. Like they’re sizing you up...
Don’t know why they are so infatuated with wiper blades...
