First day of Retirement

That's awesome! Congratulations! I hit 62 in September so retirement comes up almost daily lol. Going to have to wait a couple more years but it sure is fun talking about it lol.

Welcome to the world where everyday is Saturday and every night is Friday night.
I like that thought alot.
Today feels like Monday, the real first day.
Thanks for all the well-wishes boyz - yep, I got a list, have had a list for a long time.
But reading this thing this morning, I realized that some things I've thought of before are now possible -
I can call Ric and meet for breakfast
I could drive to Greenfield some day just to get pizza
I can finally go over to Giles and show his boy how to cast lead (if he hasn't already used that pot)
I could go visit Jim in "the patch" (if OSHA allows)
and it looks like I'm finally gonna fish Erie
Signed up last night for Golden Buckeye card because @switchhitter told me it's good for discounts at campsites and such...
Last night sleep score 85 (good)
Today agenda:
Go to pharmacy
dry cleaners
YMCA
prep gear for muzzy
fiddlefuck around

I retired in March of '22 and absolutely love it.
I had quite a few people shake my hand and congratulate me, on my retirement.
At first I was kinda confused about being congratulated and then I thought about it. Yep...I made it, I'm finally here and this is what I worked my entire life for and now I've crossed the "finish line". 
I have to remind myself that I need to keep active and not just sit around. Stay fit and maintain my health.
I find myself hunting more now, than I ever did when I was working. It's like being on vacation and never having to go back to work.

I believe the body in motion stays in motion. Working for the parks I see it daily. The first people at the gate in the morning no matter what the weather are retirees. Had one guy that was early 90's and would walk the three mile loop every day.
