First Deer with my Satori & Gobi Limbs

I had a nice doe come in to 10 yards, winded me and kept changing positions. Not really spooking, but caught scent of something she didn't like and was in the process of deciding which way to go. As it turned out, she came my way, then changed her mind again. As she turned I made my shot and hit her high on the shoulder/spine area and dropped her. I made a quick follow-up shot, while she was flopping around and I'll be damned if that shot didn't hit her in the spine too....but from the bottom up as she was rolling over. o_O The shot killed her, but it sure didn't go as planned. It's just how hunting goes sometimes and you gotta do what you can with the situation and make the best of it. :) I gave the meat to the landowner, as I have in the past. I appreciate him letting me hunt his property all of these years.

I'll be hunting with my ILF longbow, now that I have a kill with this Satori. I'm hoping for the bucks to start moving when this cold front hits next week. The farmers around this area have all the beans off and are taking the corn off already. It has been so dry that the crops are ready.
