First Kill in the Buckeye State

My neighbor moved here from Nebraska, for a 3 year residency in internal medicine, at St. Rita's Hospital. A doctor at 27 years of age.
We've been watching several bucks and does in the area and this evening he was able to connect with a nice doe, at 22 yards.
After the shot, he got down and blood trailed it for 70 yards, where she piled up. The he preceded to pick the doe up enough to get under it and stand up with it draped over his shoulders and walked out with it. Those days are long gone for this deer hunter. :ROFLMAO:

Congratulations too the Doc!

Remind him that deer are usually covered in ticks and that’s probably not a good idea to carry it out on his back 😂

Congrats to the young man. Impressive that he's able to make time to hunt, must be dedicated 👍
You are correct, sir. I've seen this guy work 60 and 70 hour weeks, for a month at a time. o_O Yet he has a month that will allow him to hunt or fish. Even his girlfriend hunts with him. They went elk hunting in Idaho and she shot a cow elk at 596 yards with a 338 Lapua, 3x in the chest, of which 2 shots hit it in the heart. He showed me a photo of her holding the elk's heart in her hand with blood running down her arm and a huge smile on her face. :) They are a matched set, for sure. She is also a doctor/surgeon, but she's from Colorado and is doing her 5 year residency in Ann Arbor, Michigan. When they finish up here, they plan to move back out west. Amazing people!
