I rolled in at 2 in the morning yesterday.
I only have a couple three days then its back to work. No movement in my woods but some early morning "bee-line" tracks headed cross country. (sigh)
Still... sitting in the woods w/ no shot is better than a day at work in my book. Its good for my sole.
Old apple orchards can be very productive but you have to be able to thread that needle.
Again, Congratulations my friend!
The owners have been putting on drives for a long time, Sam was 16 when he did his first one and he's over 50 now.... The sole reason they host them (other than friends getting together) is too keep the deer numbers out of the orchard....
If you've never pulled up and looked thru a scope at three deer intertwined, it's a different picture that's for sure..... A first for me, just glad I picked the right spot and the one just too the side wasn't any closer.... Otherwise it might of been two for one....
