Congrats J!! You guys overdressed for early season. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt this morning. Then again, I was covered up in a layout blind though. Welcome to the addiction!!

I refuse to goose hunt. Too many guys say it'll grab your ass away from deer season.
Congrats guys!

I had shorts and flip flops in the truck, but thought better of it hunkering down in the brush lol
Towards the end it was a little warm lol

Right there with you Mike. Everyone says "Try it! You'll like it! It is addicting!" To me that is like "Here, try this heroin. You'll love it." No thanks. Deer season consumes enough of my year. No need for another expensive hobby.

Glad you had fun J.

It was a good morning. Probably had 150-200 birds come in. We just were set-up at the wrong end of the field. Ifn we'd set-up at the north end instead of the south east corner we'd had lot more shootin. The birds were coming off a lake a 1/2 east but instead of flying straight west most flew north a 1/2 mile and circled to head south. They knew they were headed to that field, Came straight in and never circled the field. Field was 6-7 acres of disked up sweetcorn with turnips or radishes planted as a cover.

J, put the breasts in a crock pot with some beef biullion or just gravy mix or something like that.... Cook 8 hrs or so until tender, then spread and mix in sweet baby rays BBQ... That'll be some pulled BBQ that'll make you bitch slap your grandma. Nice job brother!

Sam did all the good shooting lol.... Me not so much, I'll get better after I get a few more of these under my belt.....

Even after shooting at a lot of birds, sometimes after I still have no idea where or when I shot. That's what makes it fun! Like buck fever of sorts...
