It looks like I'm taking a trip south end of June to visit Nancy's brother and sister-in-law who live on Hilton Head. I'm going to need something to do besides eat, drink, and get a sunburn, so I'm going try to find a charter to take me fishing. Do any of you have any experience fishing that area, either near shore or offshore or able to recommend a charter? I'd like to fish for something we can eat. We are driving, so getting fish home won't be a problem.
Fishing out of Hilton Head?

We fished with a young man out of Edisto island. Like you I wanted to catch fish to eat and I wanted to learn how to catch red fish in the tidal creeks because we had the canoe. It worked out really well and we spent a great day with him. He was the only charter on Edisto at that time. I will see if I can find his website. Not sure how far a drive it is from Hilton head but if I remember correctly Edisto is directly south of Hilton head.
I miss Hilton. Edisto is @ 35 mi north of Hilton as the crow flies ....Georgia is south ..lol. I didn't fish the area.
