First deer I ever killed I shot square in the ass with a 12 gauge slug. Thankfully I put a good second shot on her in short order. So much for that roast though

Congrats on your 1st deer. There's an overwhelming feeling of pride and accomplishment when you sit down to eat your 1st deer. Most people in this country will never know what that feels like. Also, part of making mistakes is learning from them. You have a pretty good head on your shoulders, hang in there and you'll be okay.

I spined a buck before, sucks. I climbed down from the tree, calmly walked over to him and helped him out with my knife. Sucks to see em suffer.
