Be careful reading his stuff Frank!!! Especially his post on oats!
He might have planted the expensive Buck Forage Oats in strips, along side generic oats on the same farm over the same year. And they maybe stayed green longer and were more preferred by the deer. Mabye, just maybe!!!

I do agree, his posts are a wealth of info and cover most subjects. Probably because he didn't have anything invested in his passion besides the desire to help others learn.
