Finally got some action on the house. Framing started yesterday.

Slower than we would like but it’s coming along. They poured the concrete for the garage and basement yesterday. The rough plumbing is done. Hvac and electric should be later this week or next week.
They put shingles on it in 3.5 hours. they are still saying mid-February move in.

thanks. I picked the property and we both picked the location of the house. She picked the house. I added the sunroom on the back which also added 12x14 to the basement that will be my gun vault. The view over the point from the sunroom is amazing. She is breaking me up with small changes to things. This wasn’t the smartest move for a couple in their early 50s but it’s been our dream.
Hvac is in. Gas is ready to be hooked up. Electric will be ready to hook up next week.
Siding is up. Garage doors are on. Main floor insulation is in. I am going to do some soundproof insulation in bedroom tomorrow. Still waiting on AEP to hook up electric. Dry wall will start late next week.
After Turkey dinner with the family yesterday my wife and I put sound proof insulation on the bedroom interior walls. Anyone that works shift work will understand. They are starting drywall next week and we had to get this done before then.
Gas is hooked up. STILL waiting on AEP to connect power from temp service to home. It was supposed to be done last Friday.

Tyler has been researching tractors (with dads money) and came up with this 2017 33 horse Kubota. He drove to Delaware yesterday to pick it up. It’s never seen mud. Used to move boats. The original grease from factory is still on the PTO.
Not much got done this week. Dry wall was supposed to start but did not. They did do the stone on front porch though.
Slowly working on drywall. There was supposed to be 2 crews to get caught up but only one has showed up and one of the 2 guys has been calling off sick.
The driveway in front of the garage is the only place to turn around. When large trucks have been there they have destroyed it. 3” of rain Monday didn’t help. Catching a lot of heat from the supervisor about getting it fixed.

We moved out of our home today. 24 years of raising kids there. We are still 6 weeks out from moving into the new home. We are staying at my daughters place in the Little Hocking slums near @aholdren
I have been fighting with the contractor over the driveway. He has some guys that just can’t drive. The guy that came to swap out the dumpster drove off the driveway. Didn’t slide off just drove off. He had to be pulled out. They are trying to blame me. This may get ugly.
