Freezers

4 and 1/2 deer in there, including 50# of venison hotdogs, 45# of summer sausage, roughly 50-55# of ground meat, and satisfactory amount of waterfowl and fish. 2020 was a good year for protein acquisition.

My large freezer is completely full with venison. I also have dozens of canning jars stored on shelves within our wellhouse with fresh venison as well. I'd say I am more than good for any lean protein for a good bit. Enough to get me through a year and perhaps then some.

I have the remnants of 5 deer, 2 dozen geese, several ducks, turkeys, squirrels, chickens, cows, pigs, and morels in one of 4 freezers at our house. Two fridge freezers, a 14 cu. ft. chest freezer, and a 21 cu. ft. upright are all bursting at the seems. Creates a real need for a generator that's for sure 😂

I just bought a 7 cu. ft chest freezer for my house about 2 weeks ago. Soon as I get my second doe back from the processor it’ll be pretty well stocked. I was using my parents freezer to store my venison but theirs is getting pretty full from stocking up because of covid, figured it was time to get my own. Hopefully it will be topped off with some bluegill, bass, and crappie fillets after my Michigan fishing trips this year. Also works great for storing some blood tracking training aids for the dog.
