Friggin RODENTS

Live in the sticks and mice will forever be an endless problem. I absolutely loathe them. They get in my tractors, cabs, headliners, vehicles in the shop, in the animal feed… No matter what I do, they keep coming. They eat all the poison I give them, yet they keep coming. Trapping is most effective, IMO, but it requires constant attention and work. Dave… I hate cats as much as anyone… and even I am considering adopting a barn cat. I’m simply at my wit’s end with rodents.

Hear me out. I'm thinking of an option that hasn't been mentioned yet. It sounds like a barn cat "might" be okay "if" it stayed outside? Have you considered getting rid of your wife so the cat can stay outside? I mean. . . HOW bad do you want to get rid of the mice? 😁

You know my vote. I was never a fan of cats. However. Living here, having one outside is almost a necessity. We've gone through three in the three years I've been here. One was my fault. Two disappeared. Out county shelter runs $20 barn cat specials. I'll just keeping picking one up when needed.

We've gotten a new one since you guys left. I have hardly seen a single squirrel since then, not one snake, and no mice in the shop.

I used the smaller electronic pest controller in my barn when I had the camper in there. I plugged one on each wall of the barn and one in the camper. Never saw any signs of mice when I did that. Not 100% sure that was what kept them out though because I have a barn cat. 🤣

Only bad thing about a barn cat is it will jump on every single car you own. I cringe every time i see those damn paw prints.
