Thanks guys! I just went back to see how long it was since I had him on cam first this year. These stills from the video was almost a month earlier on 6/15. So he definitely hit a growth spurt!
Makes me wonder what the big one I had on camera in the middle of June looks like now. I dumped 75 pounds of corn 2 weeks ago so hopefully he came by for a bite!

By the looks of his main beams out towards the tips. That he may be a 6x6 next year? He's no doubt a shooter this year, but could you imagine what another year would do for him?!!!
The voice in the back of my mind has already mentioned that to me bro! Lol I still think he's 4 though but I do know the velvet accentuates his rack. I believe now I haven't had an encounter with him that I can remember but I might have him on camera last velvet season as a nice 9 point but I'm still not sure. I'll be going thru some old pics though.
This was Splits in velvet back in 2011. If you look closely at his right brow you can see it's off set just like Shanks. Lol

That's one nice buck, Rick. Another year could make a big difference. But, my advice is shoot' em when they offer up the opportunity. Good luck.
Oh wow. I had forgotten about how nice Splits was. I knew he was nice, but forgot just HOW nice! This year or next, Shank is pretty dang nice. Hope there is no major shrinkage when the velvet peels.
