Surely someone here has had issues with their gallbladder and I'm curious what your symptoms were leading up to treatment. My dad had issues and I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I'm not having issues too.

My wife had hers removed. Hers was stones. Lots of pain involved there. I get issues if I over eat or too much of an unbalanced meal. I cant just gorge on meat or I'll get pains for up to a day where if you didnt know better, you'd be thinking heart attack.

Handing phone to my wife...

The months and possibly years leading up to my major attack my system didn't tolerate greasy foods, rich foods or lots of protein. I would have terrible stomach aches and of course other unpleasant digestive issues. Fast food and eating in general became something I really dreaded because I didn't know what to expect. I would get super bloated every time I ate. Keep in mind that everyone is different. What sent me into my final major attack that made me sick for days was eating two fast food meals in one day because I was super busy. I have heard a lot of people get flank pain also but from what I could gather is caused by the stones you developed. I would suggest cutting out fatty meats and grease and see if it helps. Feel free to get my number from David and text if you have any questions.

Wife had hers removed as well. Seemed to get sick after eating certain things. Always nauseous and bloated. There was a test given, and as soon as it was administered she got sick. Week later it was removed and no issues since.

Christine mentioned something I forgot about, there’s ghost pains in some people as well. Sends a pain into the lower back part of the shoulder on some folks.

A lot of my symptoms lend themselves to reduced bile production, but I've avoided any pain thus far. But I'm having extreme bloating, heartburn, yellow stool, and some mild discomfort in my lower back that either associated, or coincidence. I'm going to embark on an extreme elimination diet for a few weeks with some OTC supplements that are known to improve liver/gallbladder function and hope I see some improvements. My old man was roughly my age when he had to have his removed, so that's another factor that lends itself to possibly being gallbladder.

Just go get tested, you’ll know as soon as they administer the test if it’s bad or not.

I had mine removed after many attack’s the last one that sent me to the ER I could barely breathe

Did the ultrasound in the ER got it cut out a week later and have been 100% fine ever since

I went fishing a couple days after surgery had a little trouble using the landing net but that passed quickly

Pain like a muscle cramp right at the bottom of my rib cage. Had it for years, wouldn’t last long, thought nothing of it. One day felt sick, pain worse, wouldn’t go away, had ultrasound, had stones, gallbladder removed. No pain, have to learn what foods affect me, some foods run right through you and I mean like 10 minutes you better be looking for a toilet.
