Ford had plans on cutting the ranger for a long time now they havent updated the platform for over 13 years other than a new grill. Ford continues to sell a mid sized truck overseas but overseas the f150 isnt very popular.

I believe they do for Asian and European countries.

They do for the hilux and its a very good engine. if they offer a US diesel tacoma i will trade in my 2010 on one.

Im screwed ...I have plans and goals for a pick up in about 4-5 years, sounds like I wont be able to afford one now.

V-8's are just more efficient pushing the weight.

My 2010 f150 is a v8. It's got no problem pulling whatever you want...but don't look at avg mpg. 13-14. Luckily I don't drive too far
