I can not confirm this for sure but my Dad called me tonight and was laughing saying put me down for a dead groundhog. I said what you ran one over?? He said nope, I was mushroom hunting a woods and heard a scratching sound and looked up and there was a groundhog in a sapling, just looking at him. So he grabbed a stick and with one hit, killed it and went on his way. LOL
LMAO!!! I never knew hogs climbed trees until a few years back, early bow season the first two trips back there was a groundhog in the same tree about 10 feet off the ground. Took an old arrow with me the 3rd trip and stuck him to the tree... congrats to your dad!!

man, im jealous. I havent seen any at all. I seen more hogs in the city then livin out where I am now.

Keep it up! I wish I had time to get out. Right now I will be lucky just to pattern the shot guns before turkey and decide which one I am going to use. Part of me really wants to use the O/U. The logical part of me says to just use the one you loaned me which really is pretty stinkin' perfect for turkeys already. lol
Phil I was picking a trailer up to haul my cabinet home and drove past a farm I have been seeing them in and what would you know!....So I grabbed the gun and layed down in the barn yard and let him have it lol...I wasn't out looking like I usually do but I won't pass up a chance to drop one!....Just use my gun already and let the turkey gun do it's job !!

So It's been a long time since I've seen a woodchuck around here or a hole. I think the coyotes have done a lot of damage. That's sad cause I kinda like havin ole woody around. He is the only one who digs holes and a lot of critters use them. So don't think he can't be wiped out. Havin the power to kill is a lot more powerful if you don't use it.
Outfrickinstanding CJD! Ralphie deserves better than some groundhog on his home turf! I am sure Ralphie would be proud!
He made the mistake of sitting up and eye-fuc*en me. Not much of a hole going in but the 17 def. made a statement on the way out.

CJ that is awesome! I usually don't get too fired up until they star eye fugging me too then you gotta show em who is boss bc if u don't he will go bragging to his buddies about it and the next thing you know half the damn groundhogs in the county will be eye fugging you....I haven't been out for over a week, with the winds, sick kids and wife I have been busy. So it eases my itch to go out ir makes it worse not sure which it is. That's a nice looking gun you got too!
