I know some won't believe it I still don't. After a long dry spell....
#7....405 yds. 12-15 cross wind.My dad and future BIL saw it. Only took eight shots LOL, after underestimating the wind drift.I FINALLY figured it out with a shoulder shot. Couldn't see where my bullet was hitting because of moist dirt.

I had my one and only shot at a ground hog on my last turkey hunt. Unfortunately, all I had was the shotgun and he was against the property owner's barn. If I had my 17hmr I would have killed him. I know I can make that bullet go where I want it to. With a shotgun? Not so much control if aiming towards the barn. I am thinking that would be a surefire way to lose permission to hunt. lmao
