Dang nice deer Gordo. Hope you can get a crack at him. You got a pic of him in mid afternoon so that’s a plus! Good luck buddy....:pickle:

That 3:30pm was more of a 4:45pm. Double backed on that to confirm and my TC time was off.

That was the only daytime pic of him in 10 days. Only other time he was in front of the cam was in the middle of the night a couple days before that

I gotta dig up some photos. This deer is ringing a bell from a deer I got pics of in November 2013 as a 2.5 year old(I think). I could be nuts but I'm going to find out.

How do you remember 2013? I barely remember the beginning of this season! [emoji23]

That’s one of the best things about doing a log! I didn’t do one this year but I did go back and read last years during the start of this season.

Well the stage is set. Re-chummed a different spot about a hundred yards away from the last TC set. Also nipped myself out a spot in a blow down to crawl into. Set up is more geared towards intercepting his ass on route to grab a bite. Thursday-Saturday could be my best chance at killing him based on the weather. We'll see what happens. I'm going to have to beat an old ass bitch with her family group and a couple young bucks. Gotta bring my 'A' game

Well that first buck ended up being a bust. That deer only showed on cam twice in 2 weeks. Sat and froze my ass off Hopeing to catch a break during that cold snap but it never happened.

I Could have jumped the gun as he was never regular, even at night. That was my first TC check in years! Got the juices flowing.

I did 'get off' on how perfect my set up was. Was sitting in a blow brushed in with some pine tree branches as cover. Saw deer just about everytime and was never busted.

Off with the old on with the new:

I set up a very similar, well thought out set at my primary spot. I know there's gotta be at least one there worthy of an arrow. No cam recon yet as I just put it out a couple days ago.

Great access. Should be able to slip in and out undetected. I brushed in a spot on a small point. N or NW wind is prime as my scent will be pushed over a damn cliff and far down the holler. Hauled 160 pounds of corn up the damn mountain and spread it over a huge area.

Today is a hell of a day to go sit it and I'll be there!
