Thanks everyone!! I started with a stick bow when i was 12 shot that for 2 years, then half of last years deer season. Then i got a 50# recurve, and i've been getting more and more into it. Its a lot of work but i'll tell ya its so fun and so worth it!!! Thanks again everyone!

AWESOME! I am thoroughly impressed with you and the video. I am speechless right now (imagine that) Beene said it best.....Truely EPIC! Congrat's again young man!

Wow! That is the best hunting Video I have ever watched. Don't know how you got the camera positioned but it was perfect. Watching you draw the bow as the buck walks in fantastic. Then the true emotion and watching the deer go down, Beener has EPIC

Thanks For sharing
Jim Suttinger and his friends hold a traditional rabbit hunt in Febuary call GORH(great ohio rabbit hunt) Hope you can make it down I would like to meet you.

@OhioWhiteTails and I were just talking about youth hunting and our trials and tribulations. I saved the link to this post I made over a decade ago now which is crazy. The video still cracks me up and makes me want to pick the stick bow up again some day. Can’t wait to see his kid whack one in a few weeks ☺️

Our setup is very similar and had we had those when we were kids, and in my case had my dad been ate up like me, there's a 1,000% chance my trophy wall has several more big bucks on it. We had a 300+ acre farm until was 13, which is when we bought where I live now and we could hunt 300ish acres behind the house back then. It might have ruined me. As it was, I didn't kill a deer until I was 18 because we basically hunted 1-2 days a year for gun season and that was it. I had way less opportunity and when I did hunt, I was holding an iron sighted smooth bore 20 gauge that I'm still not sure you could hit a potato sack at 20 steps with!

All that to say kids these days are frickin' spoiled!
