I was able to fill my tag yesterday morning with a great double bearded turkey, which was a first for me. After Drew killed a bird the first week I hit it pretty hard the 2nd week and wasn't able to connect. The birds went silent and I was content with our season and only hunted one day the 3rd week and not again until yesterday due to work and softball/baseball on the weekends. I got one to gobble after daylight and almost had him early on but it took alot of moving and multiple setups and I finally shot him at 8:45. I killed him at 53 yds and he weighed 22.5 lbs, ea beard was 9.75" and ea spur was 7/8".

Congratulations! That dude has a serious second beard. I've never killed one with a double beard. Mason's bird had an extra 3" beard this year but nothing as impressive as that one!
