Grove City Ohio woman gored by bison

I wish Yellowstone would reintroduce hunting, etc, not a tourist drive through, Rinella talks about the benefits on his podcast all the time. A lot of ignorant people that buy save the wolves/grizzlies calenders that live in an apartment with 34749 cats, think that any animal that has touched the yellow stone park are now protected for life any where it moves to. I believe Montana has a draw buffalo hunt where no preference points are used and its either dynamite or a dud hunt based on the buffalo migration.

Bet that selfie is amazing.

Seriously though, what a grewsome story, and yes, completely avoidable, which will most likely make it all the more difficult to handle that tragic loss for those that loved and cared for her.

Sincere condolences to the entire family & friends of hers!

I've been through Yellowstone, several times and the Park Rangers always say the same thing about the Buffalo. "When a Buffalo raises its' tail, it's going to do 1 of 2 things, charge or discharge and you don't want to be around for either one." :)

Of the times that I've been there I seen a lot of people getting way too close, trying to get that one close up photo shot, like the one they seen in a magazine. What they don't realize is that photographer was using a HUGE zoom lens and was quite a distance from the animal.
I took the time to stop and offer some free advice to a group of alleged photographers (with cell phones), that the grizzly bears they were taking photos of were 400 lb. cubs and the 1000 lb. mom was close by. All of them stepped back a few feet, but only half of the crowd returned to their vehicles. 🙃
