Worked my way thru college at my buddys tree service, the crane is the best way to go hands down.

During the last ice storm a big branch came down off the locust tree next to the driveway and smashed the bed of my dad's pickup that was parked there. Don't park anything near it now.
We had an 80ft high soft maple about 8ft around at the base with 5 big trunks coming out of it, one aimed right at the house. Paid $2500 to have it taken out, and a few months later Ike blew thru....looking back I think that probably saved the house

Well J showed up this morning just as the adjuster got here. Adjuster was pretty cool about everything.
When the adjuster left we start cutting up some the bigger stuff. Just then the county engineer's truck pulled up with a chipper. They stayed for about a 1/2 hour and boy did we make a big dent in the stuff in the yard.
After they left we had to load stuff on a trailer and haul it out to a brush pile to burn.
J just left but we probably got 98% of it cleaned up(not the tree on the shed). I'll admit to being pretty down last night but feel much better now. Thanks J!!

Man Sam, that is unreal, hope they get you all fixed up. We got the storm last night minus the high winds. Lost electricity for five hours.

Man, just now checked this thread out. So sorry to hear of you going through this Sam. That was great reading about J coming to lend you a hand. That's good stuff! Glad to see you're bouncing back and getting things in order. That locust was a big sumbitch!

They started on the shed yesterday and finished today.
