Feels like bow season. Very little shooting. Heard no shots last night. One around 8am that was estimated mile away. Another around 830 I'd guess couple miles away. Very faint. I've seen very few trucks out parked. Might need a little second rut magic to make bucks move. Or natural movement patterns with some luck getting them on their feet early. Oh well. I'm out. Can't kill them at home. Good luck all.

Same here. Been out since 2pm for the afternoon sit and haven't heard a shot. In 2 days have heard maybe a dozen.

Appreciate it y'all!

Currently waiting on the my huntin clothes to get dry and get them in my tote, then dinner and right afterwards, heading to bed. Getting up way early in the morning. Feeling all giddy about it already. Like I mentioned previously, this beautiful property I hunted over a decade ago, and then once again for the first time in years at the tail end of last season. Some of you may recall. I've encountered one of my biggest deer while hunting that piece of property many years ago, during the rut, right after quittin time, and I've seen several other trophies over those years I've hunted it, taking a few off it in the late 2000's.

So, it almost feels almost like Christmas Eve for me in a way. I'm all jacked up over it and the pickup truck is nearly ready to go with all my huntin gear in it. Just waiting on my huntin clothes to finish up in the dryer, then I'm in like flint!

Thanks again everyone, your a great bunch of guys! (y)

Neighbor just shot at one. Won't help our cause any. This says it all.

Had my button buck in range. Hard hard quarter away shot. When he turned his vitals were blocked by trees. Happened twice. Never tried a Texas heart shot. Was afraid on the hard quarter I might go thru the rear quarter to get to vitals. Wasn't going to risk injuring him.
