Gun Week 2016

I started hunting in 1993'. I began like most back then as a gun hunter. At 13 years old, it was the only choice back in those days.

It didn't matter much anyways, bring an Ottawa county resident. Wasn't many deer around. So we would travel down to Athens county. You could fill a freezer in short order! I think you could've killed deer with a fly swatter!

Fast forward to today...I don't even go to that property to kill deer anymore. I go for the camp fire. I am fortunate enough to hunt a nature sanctuary now. I just spent an entire week with a gun in my hand and never even threw the gun up. Pathetic! Disgusting! 2016 hunting can suck my balls! From my first hunt this year it's been a wreck... I was really pulling on this gun season to help me along. It didn't...Ohio deer herd needs some help.

I was just wondering since this is my first year hunting in Ohio. Didn't know if it was an intense 2 days or if it usually ends up being a yawner.

Last year I think it was a Monday/Tuesday. This year is a weekend, so it'll be different. Seriously, bitching and moaning seems to work, lol.

I can understand why. Talking to some of my neighbors down at our camp they said several years ago the population was alot higher than it is now. It is obvious from the 6 months that we have had it that while there is still deer, there definitely could stand to be more and we would still have a healthy population.

Yeah, but I still kill doe...so I can't bitch much. This particular property I'm under contract to kill them. And I've done my share of fucking up this year. I should have two doe already tagged and failed to complete the deal.

I'd say it will be pretty solid. I have already heard several guys tell me they are hitting it hard that 2 day gun season. They didn't connect during gun season and they are in Giles' shoes. Need some meat.
