I agree gordo, i watched 2 small bucks sparring briefly after one of them chased a young doe around yesterday. I'd say she was probably born this spring and is just now coming into heat. The second rut is real and I think the young ones are just starting to pop

I saw the exact same thing yesterday afternoon. Two real dinks sparring for a solid half hour along with another young deer that had to of been a doe.

Go back 28-30 days. What was happening? Start of the rut? Good rut action in your area? Generally any does which did not get bred or young does coming into estrous for the first time will start the "second rut". Bucks will start making scrapes again and rubs again while waiting for it to heat up. I'd say hunt them like you would the last week in October or first week in November. They will check them and be chasing again. Maybe not as hard, but there will be some rut activity.
Agreed, I've got daylight videos of a 4.5 year old buck on Saturday of gun season grunting and snort wheezing!
