Ladder Stands terrify me for that very reason. Setting them up and getting them attached without some sort of incident is tough. I don't own one and never will, but I've helped other guys set them up and didn't care for any of it.

The interview I just watched he said ladder Sticks. Myself I find ladder stands to be easy and safe to put up. I have a good system and if you use the wrap around support lines they supply and the ladder brace that stand can't go anywhere when you climb up it. They are far better then when they first hit the market

His video says he was putting up a ladder stand. I agree with Wiley, I’ve put up a bunch of them over the years. Never had an issue with doing it like he mentioned.
But I ALWAYS double strap each attach point!
