Hard to find bourbons...

Wife and I are down in Kentucky with some friends. Did the 90 minute tour through Jim Beam yesterday. Pretty damn cool thing to do if you get the chance. Bought a bottle of the Knob Creek single barrel 9 and watched it get bottled. I plan on putting it up for Greyson as a 21st birthday present. Staying across the street from Buffalo Trace. Headed over shortly to try and get a few bottles of Blantons and other stuff.

This last barrel is the Mila Kunis barrel she branded herself a few years back

I hope you can score a Blanton’s or EHT small batch Ryan. I prefer the EHT over the Blanton’s but both are very hard to find here in Ohio. Eagle Rare would be third hardest to obtain. Have fun! We’re heading down in April.

If it's not too late, check out the Kroger on Brighton Park there in town. We've occasionally found more variety and better prices than at the distillery.

Buddy of mine went down to Kentucky this weekend and snagged me up a couple bottles. I saw an eagle rare on one of the receipts but someone else must have called dibs on that! He’s not a bourbon drinker and went for one of his buddies birthdays.

Ok.... Anyone wants a bottle of Blanton's let me know as I may get one by the end of March... Again the key word is... MAY... Too many BULLSHIT artists in the world today... Liquor store I sometimes frequent says he's do to get some in and he'd set me a bottle aside... Again,,,, talk is cheap... But if he does, it's around $80.00 a bottle.... Just let me know... Couple TOOZERS heading this way March 24th. and they can bring it back.....

Scored two bottles of Blanton’s(letters in the series of 8 I didn’t have yet)at Buffalo Trace distillery on way to Nashville on Monday. Bought a 4 Glen stave flight there as well. We also it Woodford just 8 miles away hoping to snag some Double Double oak but they’re all gone. Bought a 3 neat taster stave flight there along with some micro bottles for our nights in Nash.
We had a great two day stay there and ate lots of great food, did a lot of drinkin and drankin and heard some unbelievably talented bands and singers. If anyone here has never been there you need to go! Words or photos don’t do it justice. Place never sleeps. Lol

Interesting tidbit. We noticed all of the trees around the distillery had black bark from root to stems. Some woman looked it up on her phone and it’s pretty interesting. Don’t have time to share but you can search it yourself to find out why. Lol

How many of us are Bourbon Hunters?

Here and accounted for…..

I’m not a T totaller like many of the guys I’ve met in line though. There’s are many guys that either, Don’t have a life or rely on this shit for a living to supplement their income. Lol
Many times it’s the same 12-18 people. Sleeping all night in their vehicles in parking lots is not my thing. Most I’ve heard is 17 hour ahead of opening but I know there’s people that will camp a day or two just like those having to have a new iPhone or gadget. Most I’ve waited was 3 hours and that was just one time all the while thinking of all the work around the house I coulda got done. Lmao

I average 1 to 1.25 hours just one day a week at one store now. If I hear a bottle I really want has been dropping early in the week I might make an effort to get out if things around the house are caught up.

It’s really popular now just like shed hunting. Lol
