I agree. Get the large. I'm 6'1 190 and I wear a large, but I don't think it'd be too big for you. I'd definitely rather have a safety harness that was slightly big vs slightly too small.

Good point about cutting the straps. That's what I was worried most about is the excess being crazy long.
They were crazy long for me and I'm 6'1" 230 with thunder thighs, so you'll have plenty to cut off...
