Has anyone here hunted Kokosing Wildlife area during muzzleloader season?

I'm tagged out in my home county, so I have to travel a bit if I want to hunt during muzzleloader. It's been a long time since I've been to Kokosing WIldlife Area in Knox County near Fredrictown.

Has anyone hunted it during the January muzzleloader season?

I thought they just made people's commute slower. Never would've guessed they were big enough to own a chunk of land for public use.

Never deer hunted there, but I have been all over it behind my dogs. I would not go there to deer hunt. There is some quality habitat, but I suspect it gets pounded by the Amish. Not ever a whole lot of deer sign in the places you would expect to find it.

Same for me I only hunted it with Jamie and Lefty. Plenty of squirrels but not much deer sign.

I hunted the dove fields a few times last year. Great habitat, but the guys running rabbit dogs said they've never seen a dove anywhere in the area....lol

Didn't see much deer sign at all.

Mohican country.... care to be any more precise? I'm less than 15 minutes from malabar farm, pleasant hill lake and the mohican state park

I'd recommend going to the TOO muzzleloader hunt on 1/3/26
