he no showed....i went down in the woods where he came out the night before... so dont know if he came out at another spot... thought i had him somewhat patterned.. more like he must have me patterened...

I would say find a good stool to sit on, get dressed in camo that will let you blend in to what ever cover (even if you have to borrow someone's that will match better) you can find in a position that keeps you down wind of him and don't do the corn.....you will only alert him and make him harder to kill this season.

Thats what Id do. Love my Ghillie suit and serious scent control. Sittin right down on a stool in the weeds. Worked for me many times.

Another thought. He could be bedding somewhere he can see the entire area (not uncommon). If he sees you sit he will back out. Sneak in a different way or earlier?

That's true, especially during the rut. Those big boys I'd been seeing in the field might have been doing that. It crossed my mind.
