Today I put a cheap Tasco red-dot (given to me from a neighbor) on my turkey gun and took it out to do some patterning. I picked up some new Hevi-13 also. I bore-sighted the gun first, then did the initial patterning with some federal #7 bird shot to get it dialed in... since the Hevi-13 is so damn expensive. Once I got it where I wanted it, I fired off a few of the good shells and boy am I impressed! I tell you what, if a gobbler comes within 50 yds of me on Monday he is in trouble!
This pattern was from 25 yds... fired from a Remington 870 with a Remington Superfull turkey choke. Ammunition: Hevishot Hevi-13 3" #5s... the black dots where positioned to about the size of a turkey's head.
