I'm somewhat lucky to only have a first grader and she loves to learn. We're not providing much structure, but do have the doing 2 hours a day of active learning, as well as playing her violin daily. There's been a little too much screen time, but with all that's going on, that's not the worst thing that could be happening under my room at the moment.
It only goes faster...take the good moments for yourself and hold them tight! My first grader is 15.Yep. Makes me feel old! She's reading at the entry level for 4th grade. She's more articulate than a lot of adults around here Math isn't her strong suit, so we work on that as much as we can. I tried explaining P&Ls and Balance Sheets to her the other day and she zoned out. Can't imagine way...
IMO kids shouldnt be getting more than maybe 2 hours a day ( I sort of think that maybe to much). Much rather see a kid learn how to take a part a carburetor, wire something, build something, going on hikes, learning to cook, anything but sitting in front of a computer/tv/video game. My boys are in preschool (supposed to be in Kindergarten) we typically do one school activity a day and try to keep them outside half of the day.
Reading this again today, lets make it clear that level of education means nothing right now. Nor does, race, religion, or political side....the virus doesn't care.
those things didn't really matter before. or did they?

Thanks Adam, that is what I was trying to say. It's got nothing to do with degrees or schooling. I know plenty of people with degrees, some with Masters that are still going to work at their place of employment or out in the field. Hell even my company has people going into the same building I work out of. Some states, the local govt has shutdown the building so no matter your place on the totem pole, u no worky until they day so.
It's my specific role that allows me to work from home. If I was still the Engineering Mgr. with the local manufacturing company, I'd be in office everyday right now.
