What components are you running?

I currently have an Onkyo receiever that is nearly 20 years old and will be getting replaced with a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX104 once they get back into production, hopefully soon.

I have 2 Cerwin Vega bookshelf speakers that will also be getting replaced soon with Klipsch RP-600M

I cant remember what my center speaker is, but I think its fine for now.

I also run a Klipsch 15" subwoofer that I love.

I also have a Pioneer 300 disc CD player that obviously doesnt get much use anymore, although it is nice to turn it on and hit shuffle every now and again.

I inherited some CV and Bose stuff from my dad and have some Samsung components, but will also be adding and upgrading. I'll post our component plan this weekend.

Interested in your old stock for the barn.

Following also, as I've been researching this for the theatre room. I've been looking at just a siund bar with a separate subwoofer. Anyone care to chime in on these?

Ill be replacing all of my speaker wire as well. You might as well buy all new speaker wire, my runs are short. I figure for the barn you'll be spreading them out. Ill bring you what I have though.
I'm surprised you wouldn't just go wireless with all the blue tooth capabilities out there.

Wireless introduces issues. I'd rather hard wire.

Not much to offer on the home theatre room subject. I will say the sound bar to match our TV was a significant upgrade for not a ton of money. A dedicated sub would really step it up. When you start talking total theatre room and tying everything together. . What is the best... Etc...in not the guy.

Thats pretty much the route we went. The whole sound system will be contded through the TV unless connected through something else via Bluetooth.
