Woodies stop by here too, but they never stay. the dogs won't leave them alone. that's their pond.

Hooded merganzers are just about the prettiest duck in my book. They dont show up here in Washington until march so i have never bagged one to mount. I think woodies, redheads and canvas backs taste the best.

They probably won't stick around. They're skittish, even more then wood ducks and in my experience don't return to a spot if they have been spooked (unless it's December and they are everywhere)
