Hortontoters 2015 Trail Camera Photos

Yep, looking good again Dick! Missed your last update so it's good to catch up. That mark on his ear is pretty round, wondering the same on it as the others have mentioned some ideas.

Looking good Dick. Hope the back progresses quick for you. Don't forget many bucks relocate when bachelor groups split. Your best buck may move in at the last minute. Good Luck To Ya!

I'm not sure, but it looks like the mark is only on the inside of the ear. I don't think it was or is actually a hole through his ear. It may just be an anomaly the camera caught TOO. I'll need a few more photos to be sure.

Glad everyones threads inspired you Sean. Hope you post up some photos soon.

Made a run to the cabin today. Had some evidence of my first trespassers last week so I needed to keep a closer eye on what is going on. While there I did some mowing and pulled the one camera card. Finally had my first fawn and mother taught him or her all about the Trophy Rock. Had three different bucks show up in the six days the camera soaked. This camera has a habit of the date screwing up at times. So the last couple dates/time on the photos is not even close. Wish I had noticed it as they will all be wrong when I pull the card next time, oh well it is July so no big deal. The spike has a wound which I believe is from a muzzleloader. The bullet went all the way through him and he has a spot on the opposite side where it either entered or exited. Again nothing to get the blood pumping this pull.

Nice pics Dick. Nothing worse than someone messing around pressuring your deer before season even gets here. I hope you catch them!

Hate to hear about trespassers. They suck. Good luck on the deer front. At least you have one fawn.

Hopefully the trespasser was just a passerby and nothing to be concerned about. Perhaps a trail camera move would be in order if you are concerned??

Pulled my cards after a month long soak yesterday. Both good and bad news were to be had. Good news, no more signs of uninvited guests on two cameras repositioned to watch for trespassers not deer. Bad news, I opened the camera that monitors my mineral site. I hit menu to check the battery status and up pops NOSD. Somehow the card malfunctioned and is empty. I popped it in my computer last night and it asks me to format the card. I tried that and it won't even format. I was bummed to say the least. Oh well at least on my next pull I will see good growth since July 6th.

Sorry, I hate that. Always happens with my moultrie but I just take it out and put it back in a few times and it works usually. I always check to make sure it doesn't say NOSD before I leave it now.

Hate to hear that Dick. Any more when I copy over the pics off of a card I reformat it right then on the computer. Read recently sometimes viewing pics on different computers or tablets can leave some sort of data on them and can sometimes keep your trail camera from writing to the card. That would also help figure out if the card is shot before you take it back out too.
