Hortontoters 2015 Trail Camera Photos

Been there. I do it at the camera every time before locking it up. Clears memory. Reformat card. Whatever you want to call it. Just another step we learn the hard way sometimes.

I'm sure I'll be reformatting every card change from now on. I guess and old dog can still learn a new trick.

Yep, we all are learning this stuff as we go along. Several pulls over the last couple years taught me the hard way, especially 6 1/2 hours away and sometimes a month or two in between pulls!!

Sorry you lost everything. The best I can do is delete the pictures off the card and leave the keepers on there. Or I save to documents and delete the card.

What's funny for me is I had a couple Moultrie cams for years that I never once had a problem with a camera not writing to a card or a card that couldn't be read by my computer til the last couple years. Not sure if it's the quality of the cards or something with the Covert cameras that I have been using?

Got down to the cabin on Wednesday and pulled a couple of cards. Wanted to be sure the one camera was working this time. Once again this camera lost time and date, but it took photos at least. I moved this camera to a less active area and replaced it with one that keeps time and date and takes better photos.

It is looking like slim pickins this season. Got a few bucks hanging around, but most are small. The one 11 point has been around a few years and has never gained any mass. His antlers are spindly, but he may be as good as he is going to get. If nothing big shows up he may be a candidate to seek this season.

That 11 has some nice character Dick, good luck! It's still early. They're still hitting the beans right now and once the bachelor groups break up the big boys will start spread out more.

Dick, you never know what the rut may bring. You could be sitting in your blind and have a giant come through looking for love.

I agree with the other guys. The beans are starting to change and within a month they'll start to peel and travel more. Keep running those cams bud. That 11 is a nice buck but you never know what will show up within the next month.

Same thing happened to me last year! Bucks were gone from 2nd week of October than all of a sudden on November 1st 2 monsters showed up and I missed one cause I hit a branch. Long story short bucks will show up at the least expected time so expect the unexpected! That 11 looks like a good buck!
