Hottest/Best 209 Muzzy Primers and Pellets

Shot the muzzy yesterday, I used the same Pellets and Primers I used 5 years ago. I got two good shots out of it and the third was a dud/no fire. After two shots the breach plug must be clogged. I didn't have time to mess with so took the breach out and emptied the gun. Its clean now and ready for Muzzy season. I guess she shoots fine for a couple shots and then requires a good cleaning. Is that normal?

Hell no not normal I had a h&r my firing pin wasn't hitting the primer hard enough. If its not that I would just shoot a primer off if it goes off several times then I would say its bad powder. But whatever you do, don't open the breech hole up with a drill bit. Its that size for a reason. If just the primers don't go off then its either the primer or the firing pin is week which was my problem. It took a new firing spring.

Has to be the powder or for some reason the breech is fouling way to easy.
