Got the rails done and picked up the chimney cap.
Got the mail expanded metal primed and painted. Now to get up on the chimney.

Had to rent a boom lift for the Mason to finish the backside of the chimney and to set the cap on. Been wondering how am I going to get the cap up there. My 14 year old is like dad the boom is a crane just pick it up and we can guide it on from the scaffolding. Boy done earned a steak dinner.

I put the mounts up, wanted to make it floating and if we ever change the mantle, won’t have to worry about the stone

Got the cap on last night and it is truly one of the things I am the most satisfied with. It was dark when we got it done.
