How do you deer hunt

I find it most enjoyable to ride around in the springtime when the fawns are just big enough to get up and wander around. Get a good light, short barreled.22, some beer and a fast running friend. My favorite areas to hunt are newer housing developments with lots of bird feeders. I try to avoid big bucks since they look better in pictures after their horns have grown and shed their velvet. Fawns are my preferred target. They make a challenging target, easy to snatch and grab from a lawn and they taste superb!

During the regular firearms season I’ll wear orange but otherwise use the same tactics.

Yes - i use to just run them down and bulldog uhm - took a couple days - since my knee replacement surgery i go the ice hole route
