Wow, Year# 33 for me. I lost count of kills somewhere a few years back in the seventies. Wish I kept better records. I used to document each kill with a note card and picture. I'm sure my son would like to know someday. My last buck kill was 2009 so I feel content eating my buck tag. I have the "Oh Shit Buck" standard now. He better be good or else I'm trying to take his picture.
I'm satisfied with harvesting two does and getting my kids outdoors each year now.
I also enjoy my time at camp playing host, cook, bottle washer, and "meat wagon" driver (ATV with trailer hauling out other's deer).
It's not about me anymore. It's about the time I spend putting my father, family, and friends on deer.
It's fun seeing the excitement within our young hunters after having success. That's what its all about for me.
