How do you do it

I've never done it and I know its quite common out west where its the only option but I really don't like doing anything but skinning warm deer. So the idea of quartering them isn't high up on my fun scale. I have read about how you can quarter and get even the tenderloins (belly straps) out without gutting them so its intriguing. Due to that the sled idea is one I've done. I have a sled for waterfowl hunting but I also used it opening day this year. Even dragging downhill the difference between the sled and not was significant and the monday of Gun season wasn't snowy in my area.

Before I came up to hunt, I decided to get a sled. It was delivered a couple days before I left.
It got used today! Boy that made a big difference getting that buck out of a swamp and woods….
I made the rope fairly long and put a piece of hose about 30” long on it. Made life easy and my buddies were impressed with how easy it made it.
I’m leaving it with one of them so they can use it, he’ll keep it at his place and I can get to it whenever I’m up and need it. Win, win….
Wish I’d of gotten one of these a lot sooner!
