How far does the average hunter travel from his truck to hunt public land?

On public land I usually try to position myself on the back side of the property along the private land border; usually on a corner. That's usually the furthest distance from the truck.
That's my strategy staying away from the public idiots while using them to my advantage. My system seems to work as I've had lots of success over the years.
