Who remembers gas at under 20 cents a gallon??? Or who remembers what they were doing when JFK was assinated?? That day we got out of school early to watch it on TV... I went home grabbed the single shot 16 gauge, and Sally our beagle... Shot 4 rabbits and 2 Ringneck Roosters...

well fuck, I'm one of the old guys now. (n) beats the alternative, I guess.

Woolworth, Rink's, Hart's, Gold Circle, Service Merchandise. when going to the store was still fun. ;)

I miss having a Woolworth. Bought my first BB gun at Service Merchandise. Took a lot of begging to get my parents to okay it. Hart's and Rinks I remember. Gold Circle? Never heard of it.

I remember flagging down the milkman while walking to Mogadore Reservoir to fish. He always gave us some hunks of ice and on occasion a free quart of chocolate milk. And I never felt he was going to throw me in the back of his truck and rape me either. Times have really changed.

My favorite store was Clarkin's. My younger brother helped put them out of business. He stole more fishing lures from that store than they sold. The Mogadore bass still inhaled our "hot" Rapalas and Lazy Ikes.

33 here. I remember picking up the land line dialing 5 numbers. Gas was 98 cents when I was 16. I called the game warden at 13 to see if I could hunt alone 300yrds behind my parents house who were non hunters. He said yes if they know where you are. Right on. When people had guns in there vehicles at school they said just take them home and come back........alot has changed in a very short time....

Born in Al and grew up in Ms, which as my wife says is like stepping 20 years back in time. We had three channels on an old B&W UHF tv. No rabbit ears and no motor on the antenna tower outside, you climbed up and turned that sucker by hand. Hell we didn't even have an real address until I was about 11. If you wanted to mail us something you had to send it to "Mail Route 2 Box 189c"
